The Hive is a restorative on-campus retreat designed to support the mental wellness of college students throughout their day. Inspired by the structure and behavior of guardian bees, the space features a vibrant central hub for social interaction and movement, surrounded by darker, quieter private rooms that offer emotional, sensory, and spiritual rest. Reflecting the protective nature of the hive, the layout balances openness and refuge. Hexagonal forms and natural light connect users to nature, creating a transformative environment that encourages healing, creativity, and community.
